Vegan & Eco-Friendly
Committed to ethical and sustainable tattooing
Vegan
All the products are 100% vegan — meaning they're not tested on animals and contain no animal-derived ingredients.
Many people wonder what makes a tattoo "vegan," so here's a breakdown of what non-vegan tattoo products can contain:
Tattoo Ink
- Bone Char: Made from burned animal bones (commonly in black ink)
- Gelatin: From boiled animal bones, ligaments, or tendons
- Shellac: Made from beetle shells
- Glycerin: Can come from plants or animal fat
Razors (lubricating strip)
- May contain glycerin (plant or animal-derived)
Stencil Paper
- May contain lanolin (from sheep's wool)
Soap (used during the tattoo session)
- "Green soap" often contains glycerin, which can be animal or plant-based
Vaseline
- Not animal-derived, but may be tested on animals
Aftercare Products
- Aquaphor: Contains lanolin (from sheep's wool) and glycerin
- A&D Ointment: Contains lanolin
- Other ointments: May contain beeswax or be tested on animals
Eco-Friendly Products I Use
- Plastic Materials: All tattooing plastics are compostable and break down in 10 days to 9 months (vs. 20–500 years for conventional plastics)
- Bamboo Tongue Depressors: Bamboo grows faster than trees and produces 35% more oxygen
- Ink Caps: Made from bagasse pulp (sugarcane waste) with starch coating
- Gloves: Biodegradable
- Tattoo Needles: Made from compostable materials
- Paper Towels: 100% recycled
Why This Matters
Choosing vegan and eco-friendly tattoo practices is about more than just the ink on your skin. It's about making conscious choices that align with values of compassion and environmental responsibility.
When you get tattooed with vegan products, you can be confident that no animals were harmed in the process, and when we use sustainable materials, we're reducing our impact on the planet for future generations.
Let's be kind to animals and the planet ♡
